New Layout

If you didn't notice, our layout has changed again. This was toms suggestion, sorry it took so long to get it up.
Lets start tweaking now, Tom and anyone else, tell me what to change.

I don't like the way the text is scrolling off the book and you can only scroll with the center wheel of the mouse--wertical scroll bar is limited.

You have corrected the vertical feed problem that bobby mentioned. I think that if you resize to show the whole book, symetrically, you will solve the horizontal scan problem. There would be no need to ever scan horizontally because the two pages would be fully shown. It would also look much better.

I like the way it was when it was first introduced to me in April - easy to maneuver around in, pleasant to look at, no fancy mumbo jumbo - IT FLOWED. The second try was choppy, too busy with the slide show on the side and so I didn't feel like visiting for a while. Now I came to look to pay my respects to Kumo, and was surprised at this. I don't like it - the book sits in the middle of the screen and all this emptiness is around it. Bring back the scroll and how it was originally. Maybe I'll visit more often. The Myers' blog is similar to how Tom's original was in the matter of simple, flowing, and pleasant. See you in a couple of months. Sorry I didn't speak up earlier.

Ouch, harsh words mary :) . Makes sense though. It was a good try, however having a fixed image as a layout means that it has to be one size that will display differently relative to each persons different resolution (which is why we cant make it bigger). I did my best to get the text and images to line up as if they were on the book. however if you click off the book, the page will scroll oddly out of the image and you must click on the book again to make it scroll correctly. I suppose simple might be better, only because I was so limited by what blogger would let me do. Sorry it took so long for me to get back to this. What is the consensus then? should I keep trying with this to make it better, or switch back to the original? There were no complaints with that one. (To Mary's comment, we can add a background)
